Proactively Securing Business Today for a Better Tomorrow - 2017 Chief Information Security Officer Leadership Forum

The Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management’s (DHSEM) Ricardo Lafosse spoke at Argyle’s 2017 Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Leadership Forum in Chicago. Exploring the latest trends and technological capabilities impacting the information security landscape, this annual summit hosts some of Chicago’s Fortune 500 leaders and top-tier executives.

Along with a panel of CISOs including Jill Rhodes from Option Care, Fred Kwong from Delta Dental, Raghbir Sandhu from Kellogg’s and Jeremy Wittkop from InteliSecure, Lafosse covered best practices for “Proactively Securing the Business Today for a Better Tomorrow.” The discussion included alleviating common security concerns associated with the cloud, pinpointing top vulnerabilities that increase risk and the transformation of the CISO role in relation to growing cyber threats.

As the Chief Information Security Officer under the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, Lafosse provides strategic information security leadership for the second largest county in the United States. In his role, he is responsible for the implementation and governance of the County’s information security program, including IT compliance and risk. Lafosse’s vision, dedication and leadership have earned national recognition as one of the leading local government programs in the country.
